I was contracted to provide visualizations for a project involving the historic New Sheridan Hotel in Telluride, CO. The scope of work was to show the proposed improvements from three separate vantage points.
The New Sheridan Hotel, built in 1891, holds a special “Landmark” designation within the Telluride National Historic Landmark District. The “Landmark” designation carries the highest level of historic significance and protection.
The project involves creating an addition on the rear of the adjoining Phoenix Market building. The Phoenix Market, located next door to the East, is also an important and listed historic structure within the National Historic Landmark District.
The proposed addition to the Phoenix Market will contain a work force housing unit and a large hotel suite. The hotel sweet will be accessed from the New Sheridan Hotel through a small connecting door and walkway. A proposed elevator shaft will connect between the new addition and the New Sheridan Hotel.
Below is a series of images showing before and after photos of the proposed improvements. These images will be used in presentations before the Colorado Sate Historic Preservation Office and the Telluride Historic Architectural Review Commission.
