The middle two weeks of October provided great conditions for our annual fall excursion around the Colorado Plateau. Our first stop was Fruita, Utah, the headquarters for Capitol Reef National Park. From there we continued on to Boulder, Utah and the surrounding Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.

North San Juans
We’ve often talked about traveling further into the Uncompahgre Wilderness Area. In the first week of September the stars aligned. With stable weather and time on our hands we set out on a 5 day excursion into the nearby North San Juans.
