We had a great time and some good adventure on this years spring desert hiking trip. We were out in the canyon country a bit later in the season than usual, leaving Telluride on Thursday April 29th and returning Sat May 9th. We headed out into the canyon country on October 3rd for our annual autumn adventure. Great weather and a flexible itinerary allowed us to rack up 16 days in a row of great Colorado Plateau hiking. Karen and I had a great two week journey this April traveling in a big circle through the middle of the Colorado Plateau. We started by driving in Karens’ VW Westphalia Syncro Van to Sowats Point on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s about a 9 hour drive from Telluride.
